Diablo Weavers Guild meets in Walnut Creek, usually on the third or fourth Friday of the month from September through June, 10:00 am until noon or a little later. We do not meet in July and August.

New members and guests are welcome. 
In September, December and June we meet at a member's home. Other meetings are usually held at the Thurman Casey Library in Walnut Creek (Ygnacio Valley Library).

Meeting location

Dues for the 2018-19 year, September - June, are $30 per person; $40 per family. If joining half way through the year, dues are $15.

Carolyn Greenwood will present a program on painted yarns/warps. Carolyn is well known for her lovely custom dyeing.

CNCH Conference Registration Opens January 15

The CNCH Conference for 2019 will be held at Sonoma State University, June 20-23. Registration opens January 15, 2019 at 9:00 am. Although registration is open until March 15, it is likely that many workshops will fill up early.

The registration fee includes workshop, lodging and meals, and parking. A Companion registration is also available for lodging and meals. See the CNCH website for details about events at the conference and workshop options.

A local San Francisco designer has a variety of cones of silk and cotton for sale at reduced prices, including silk noil made in Japan, cotton in a variety of colors and weights and 6 strand embroidery floss rayon/cotton.

Crocket Fiber Studio

One of our members, Melanie Perkins, offers fiber events, classes and items for sale at her studio in Crocket. 

Windrush Farm classes

Windrush Farm, in a lovely rural setting near Petaluma, has fiber arts classes in spinning, dyeing, carding and more. They encourage weavers to learn some of these skills.
